Senior Session | Tyler Mims

The Mims family is so wonderful. I had been in contact with them for a while about distantly planning their daughter, Britney's, wedding (she's getting married in 2012). When they messaged me asking about doing their son, Tyler's, senior pictures, I was thrilled to have the opportunity!

Unbeknownst to me at the time, this was going to end up being one of my favorite Senior Sessions. Tyler was very comfortable around the camera, executed every [crazy] pose that I asked him to, and made a very good effort at my "fake laugh" requests.

Tyler is a lifeguard at Lake "Tobo", so the family suggested we go there. I was THRILLED. (a)I am so glad to have found a "beach-esque" location, and (b)It was just perfect for his pictures.

Thank you so much, again, Mims family.

Hope you love them, Tyler!

Family Session | Circle Family

Oh my goodness.

I have never had a more enjoyable family session. I experienced so many outbursts of random laughter, my stomach was hurting by the end of the session. PURE FUN.

This is the first "fully grown" family session I have done before, where all of the children are over the age of 7. I have to admit I was slightly apprehensive about how to arrange them--how to make the poses look organic--but once we got going, I didn't have the slightest problem arranging these lovely people!

I pray you have as much fun looking through these as we had taking them!

{I also have a new watermark... like I said, I'm testing these out. I like this one a lot, it just needs a bit of tweaking. We'll get there.}

{I knew this was going to be a great night when these were the first few frames of the session. Love. }
 {Shout out to this amazing anniversary ring! No additional editing here, just pure beauty!}
 {This was not a staged moment... simply the nature of this family. LOVE IT!}
 {True Story: This was not a re-inactment. :) }
{This was the result of me saying "Do something funny."}
{Story Time: During every photo session, I will take a few shots where I say "Now, give me a big fake laugh"... I know it's kind of cheating... but this picture is a prime example of why an awkward request can be so rewarding. I mean, really, look at those fake laughs. Priceless.}

{Happy Days.}

Engagement Session | S.C. Vineyard

A couple of months ago, Rebecca Cerasani invited me on her team as a "second shooter" for weddings. I was honored, and have had an incredible time getting to know her and her passions since then.

She called me a couple of weekends ago (kind of randomly) and invited me to "second shoot" an Engagement Session with her at a Vineyard in South Carolina. There was no way I would decline an opportunity to shoot in a vineyard! I cleared my week, and left with her on a two-day trip to Greenville, South Carolina.

This was actually the first time I have ever gotten a second perspective on a portrait session, and I LOVED it. There were so many priceless moments that I was able to catch "through the grapevine".

You can visit Rebecca's blog (link above) to her photos from the session, along with more of mine. Thank you again, Rebecca, SO much for the opportunity!

Here are my favorites! Hope you enjoy.
