PREVIEW | Courtney & Chase | Proposal Session

Courtney is my childhood best friends. One of those "always have, always will" kind of friends. No matter the time in-between, we can always hang out and have an immediate connection.

When she contacted me about [finally!] doing a session of her and her man, I was ecstatic. When he contacted me about this being a "special shoot", I was jumping around my living room screaming and crying. It hadn't even happened yet, and I was SO happy for her.

This was also my first experience doing a Proposal Session, and I could not wait. I'm certain it can be understood that I took A MILLION pictures. I wanted to capture every moment.

However, I cannot keep everyone waiting any longer. Here is a special Black & White "sneak peak" at some of the pivotal moments of the night. There will be MANY MORE to come! ♥

Keep in mind--Courtney did not know that Chase was proposing. This was their three year anniversary, and Courtney is on the brink of completing her Bachelors degree, so there were hopes, of course! Courtney has been planning to utilize a hand-drawn sign with "If you like it, you should put a ring on it", for the opportunity when we could have a couple session, and there could not have been a more ironic occasion for the prop!

Courtney and Chase, I can not really put to words the absolute JOY I have for you two. Married life is such an incredible journey--embrace every moment, even in these beginning stages. Love you so much Courtney! (And you too, of course, Chase!)

Enjoy. {♥}

{Pretty much clueless at this point.}

Newborn Session | Sweet Baby Georgia

Sweet Baby Georgia was only 14 days old when we did the session. Her sweet little fingers and toes and smirks just melted my heart. Georgia's session is my first newborn session since re-vamping my photography career, back in the Summer of 2010. I studied my little heart out on newborn poses and techniques and lighting, and I could not be more pleased with her session.

The Sprouses are some of the sweetest people I have encountered, and their love for Georgia was just glowing through out the session. Their home was beautiful, and naturally, I spotted several pieces from Anthropologie, such as their famous hand-crafted door knobs. It was a beautiful day in Atlanta--you could almost consider it a welcome to Spring--and it could not have been more fitting as we celebrated this new season for this sweet family.

I pray abundant blessings on the journey ahead. May the Lord richly give your family all that you could ever want or need.

Thank you so much for this opportunity.

Enjoy, friends. {♥}

Couple Session | Ashley & Stewart

I can truly say that this was a unique session for me, and I LOVED it. Ms. Hulse, Ashley's mom, wanted to give Ashley and her boyfriend, Stewart, a photo session for Valentine's Day.

Ashley and Stewart were pretty camera shy, but were SUCH great sports, and an adorable high-school couple!

Thank you for this awesome opportunity! I wish you both the VERY BEST for your future!

Enjoy. {♥}

Business Portraits | Lindsey Gilstrap

In more ways than one, Lindsey Gilstrap is a hero to me.

A.) Lindsey is attending Southeastern University. Southeastern was an iconic school for me growing up--their band, C2, was usually the worship band for church camp, and I found my dream of being a worship leader through their ministry. Needless to say, God chose a different path for me to get to where He destined me, but I have great respect for anyone who has been through their education program. Ask Lindsey, she can only sing their praises.

B.) Lindsey is a leader of volunteers who started as a volunteer. Great leaders are servants first... then always. Even in the small encounters I have enjoyed with Lindsey, her selfless heart shines through so effortlessly.

C.) Lindsey is on the journey of getting her doctorate. Yeah, really, that's all that needs to be said to make her a hero. I am amazed at anyone with a doctorate, or in the process of achieving the doctorate program. Such brilliance amazes me.

Which leads us to the pictures. Lindsey will soon be embarking on her thesis and is hoping to blog her studies along the way. She contacted me for pictures to represent her personality well on her blog, and I am SO pleased with the way this session turned out!

Enjoy, friends. {♥}
