ENGAGED // CLAIRE & DAVID

Photographing Claire and David was a thoroughly enjoyable experience. Lots of laughs, lots of sunshine, lots of pictures that I couldn't wait to get home and process!

Wedding season has been full swing--I just completed a round of 7 weddings in a row, and am grateful to have a few weeks off before Claire and David's BIG DAY! Claire's been talking rustic-chic, mix-match bridesmaids dresses, gents in khaki--I can't wait to photograph this Georgia summer wedding. At the core of it all will be a couple who's love for one another is so very evident--making my job as easy as it could be.

For their engagement session, we ventured the areas around Pineola Farms and found several lovely nooks for pictures... one of my favorites being their "baking together" series at the end!

Claire and David,
I feel as though we've been talking about your wedding for so long, it's hard to believe it's right around the corner! Naturally, I can't wait to see all of the details you've dreamed-up come to life
--but all-the-more, I can't wait to celebrate such an awaited moment in time with the two of you! With college and carriers, moving, and wedding planning, your wedding day will exist as a staple in this season of change. I'm so in love with your engagement session--filled to the brim with laughter and love--and I cannot wait to capture the same (times a million!) on your wedding day.

Enjoy, friends.

ONE FRAME // ANDY

With all the lovely ladies featured on the blog lately, I figured it would be refreshing to have a handsome face take the spotlight for a bit.

This is Andy. He's a senior. And he's awesome.

JUST A FEW // MELISSA / PREVIEW

On my way to my next photo session today, but I just couldn't resist posting a few from Melissa's session this morning!

More photos (and info) to come later this week. For now, you should know that Melissa is a SCAD student studying fashion and just happens to have a part-time job at Anthropologie. Kindred-spirits? I think so. :)

SPRING! // Ashli at Pineola Farms

So, every now and then I get a creative itch. Be it pinterest-inspired, seasonally inspired, or magazine inspired... it just springs up and I must quench it.

This time I was inspired by Spring brights and local blooms and--well--red heads. If I'm honest, the genetic attributes I would have requested from the Lord include red hair and fair skin. I've always been a fan.

And on that note, Ashli was the perfect model for this session. She was so natural in front of the camera... in as much to be willing to stand in the midst of bees and gnats to get the lovely floral shots (the things which often seem glamorous and effortless typically have a really entertaining back-story). And God's creation couldn't have been more accommodating... although I feel like that's the wrong wording.
He's amazing.

Ashli,
Thank you for trusting this random friend-of-friends to capture you impromptu on a warm, gnat-filled Spring day. I have to say that amidst all of the nuances that the warmth of Georgia brings, the evening was entirely enjoyable and so very successful. You are stunning. Your personality was vivacious and contagious--I loved getting to know you a bit! I look forward to the photo opportunities to come. Best of luck as you finish up school (yay!). Thanks for embarking on this new friendship.

Enjoy, friends.

PINEOLA FARMS WEDDING // CHRISTINA & SCOTT

Been waiting a long while to share this magical wedding with all of you! As you might have noticed, Christina and Scott's fabulous Southern wedding was featured on the Southern Weddings Magazine website this past week! What a delight!

Walking onto Pineola Farms that beautiful October day, I just knew Christina and Scott's wedding would be exceptionally special. From the buzz of excitement already dancing through the room, to the swoon-worthy decor, to the sun beaming down on us... I was filled to the brim with excitement as I began to capture this once-in-a-lifetime event. Surrounded by a palette of cremes, pinks, and light greens, I found myself smack-dab in the middle of my dream wedding. As a photographer, I couldn't have asked for a better canvas to work with. To add to the bliss, Delise and the team at Pineola blew me away with their ease and organization--they are most certainly on top of their game in the world of weddings.

Then we have the most important components of the day, the blushing [beaming] bride, anxious and emotional groom (is there anything more romantic that those tear-filled eyes?), and the overwhelming love and support of friends and family. All elements in place, and I just had to capture it. Sigh... I love my job.
//

It has indeed been far too long a wait. The pictures will say the rest and so much more.

//

Christina and Scott,
You are hands-down one of the most tremendous couples I have worked with from start-to-finish. Christina--you are a girl after my own heart. I wish I would have known you when I got married... you so would have had a hand in planning my wedding! Your light-hearted demeanor saturated the day with laughter and smiles. Scott--I've never met a groom so transparent in his love for his bride. Your love for Christina is a beautiful picture of Christ and His love for us.
Together, you are a dynamic duo of joy, peace, love, and happiness. I am certain through my encounter with your families and friends that those attributes have become an essential part of your relationship. Keep them close. Keep Christ close. Keep each other close. I wish you nothing but God's very best as you embark on this journey of life hand-in-hand. Thank you for the tremendous opportunity of capturing your love in it's newest chapter.

Enjoy, friends.
