Senior Session | Jenna

So, I have this perception/perspective that is somewhat hard to put into words, but it's so dear to my heart that I feel like I at least have to try.

Although some may perceive this as pathetic, nearly EVERY TIME I am contacted with a photography inquiry--whether a wedding, senior session, engagement session, model portfolio--I get this huge grin on my face. Often times, this grin precedes an interesting {squealing, jumping, shaking-my-hips} dance across the carpet (if I have the luxury of not having an audience in this moment).

You see, I am just so incredibly amazed at what the Lord has given me these past couple of years. Every single client I receive might as well be a giant hug from the Lord, and I am humbled and overjoyed at the idea that He would entrust me with capturing His Creation. {My husband could tell you of the innumerable times I have halted everything to say, yet again, OH MY GOSH, I GOT ANOTHER WEDDING! Seriously, this is still my reaction after having booked over 30 weddings in the past two years alone.}

This blessing often comes in a two-fold package. Booking the client in and of itself is a tremendous, honoring experience. However, there are so many instances in which I arrive at the wedding or photo session and know, in an instant, that this session was hand-crafted specifically for my capturing it. God really knows my heart--He knows the creativity that I long for, the little details that make me all giddy inside, and He even knows something as simple as my "style". {He did create me, after all}.

Anyway, when Jenna's mother contacted me for a Senior Session, I can not even begin to tell you how excited I was. Senior Sessions are right in there with weddings for me--I LOVE them.  When I arrived at the session and began to work with Jenna, I got so excited for the final product. She began to pull out these adorable floral dresses, and I seriously could have squealed. {Although I do believe in maintaining professionalism in front of my clients, I have no qualms at all in expressing my excitement for their pictures.}

I am so grateful that the Lord knows what makes my heart smile, and this session was definitely one of those experiences.

Thanks, everyone, for reading this long entry and for allowing me the opportunity to really open up to you. I love giving you the opportunity to take a glimpse behind the camera. ;)

Thank you, Jenna, for being awesome. You are a beautiful young woman, and I can only imagine that you have wonderful things ahead of you. Reach for the stars.

And, now, for the pictures. Enjoy, friends. {♥}

Senior Session | Tim

I've said it before, and I'll say it again--I absolutely LOVE senior sessions. I remember what it was like to be a senior, pretending for a day to be a model to appease the desires of mom and auntie and grandma-so-and-so. I remember how incredibly awkward it was to be in front of a camera, even with a good photographer behind it.

That being said, one of the most important aspects I desire to offer to my seniors (rather, all of my clients) is ease. I aim to be as transparent as I can be about my quirky personality, giving them (or YOU) permission to just be yourself. You're not expected to be anything other than you. My next goal, then, is to show you how awesome you are. With faces that you actually make, and a natural poise that--hey--is incredibly flattering to your personality.

Enough with my soapbox moment. :)

Here are a few of my favorites from Tim's senior session.

Enjoy. {♥}

Creative Session | Rebecca Cerasani

Rebecca Cerasani is a beautiful soul. Truly. She has one of the most contagious laughs you could imagine, and carries a spirit of joy everywhere she goes.

Rebecca is an excellent photographer, who has utilized her years of photographic expertise to hone-in on executing some of the best photo-journalistic Wedding Photography in Central Georgia {and beyond!}. You can view her work here!

When Rebecca contacted me to do a super, extra girlie session, I could not have been more ecstatic! Really. She knows what I love--classy vintage dresses, floral teacups, pearls, lace, pink. I really couldn't ask for a better client. Everything she does, even her modeling, is saturated with a spirit of excellence.

I could not be more happy with these pictures. All of the benefits of being a girl are just displayed so wonderfully throughout this session.

To my future clients (Seniors, Couples, Models): know that the sky is the limit. Creativity shows no end. If you can dream it for a session, we can find a way to make it happen! {And this session is proof!}

Enjoy, my friends. ♥

{And my favorite from the session! ♥}

Mini Session | Anna Daniels

To say it was cold would be an understatement. But we still had fun, none-the-less.

My dear friend, and frequent model, Anna Daniels, is a passionate, fresh photographer learning and growing each day--who has just embarked on pursuing the career full-time. I am very excited for her, and can't wait to watch her grow along the way!

I am always {more than} pleased with my pictures of Anna, and that definitely applies for this session! We found so many awesome lighting opportunities!

Enjoy the pictures, my friends! ♥

Oh! And if you have some time to kill today, check out the new pages on my blog! You can read about me, look through my inspiration, and ooh and ahh over my favorite sites. I have also added more product (and awesome product, at that) to my creative sessions, effective February 1, 2011.
