SNEAK PEEK // PLANTATION FARMS WEDDING / AUTUMN & RYAN

After a Georgian Summer Day like today (in the 106'), I could not be more grateful for the gracious weather I received for all of my May and June weddings... Autumn and Ryan's included.

Autumn and Ryan hands-down receive the Most Calm Couple of the Year award. I was blown away as their wedding day progressed that both maintained a sweet spirit of serenity. They were such a sweet couple--both of them lit up when they looked at one another. My job couldn't have been easier.

//

Autumn and Ryan,

Thank you so much for choosing me as the photographer for your Big Day. You truly couldn't have been an ounce easier to work with--you both carried such a peace with you all day! I absolutely loved watching (and capturing!) the interaction between the two of you. You are so in love, so at home in each others arms. I pray these pictures are nothing less than everything you hoped and I can't wait for you guys to see the full picture of that perfect day!

Enjoy, friends. Many more to come soon.

ENGAGED // CLAIRE & DAVID

Photographing Claire and David was a thoroughly enjoyable experience. Lots of laughs, lots of sunshine, lots of pictures that I couldn't wait to get home and process!

Wedding season has been full swing--I just completed a round of 7 weddings in a row, and am grateful to have a few weeks off before Claire and David's BIG DAY! Claire's been talking rustic-chic, mix-match bridesmaids dresses, gents in khaki--I can't wait to photograph this Georgia summer wedding. At the core of it all will be a couple who's love for one another is so very evident--making my job as easy as it could be.

For their engagement session, we ventured the areas around Pineola Farms and found several lovely nooks for pictures... one of my favorites being their "baking together" series at the end!

//

Claire and David,
I feel as though we've been talking about your wedding for so long, it's hard to believe it's right around the corner! Naturally, I can't wait to see all of the details you've dreamed-up come to life
--but all-the-more, I can't wait to celebrate such an awaited moment in time with the two of you! With college and carriers, moving, and wedding planning, your wedding day will exist as a staple in this season of change. I'm so in love with your engagement session--filled to the brim with laughter and love--and I cannot wait to capture the same (times a million!) on your wedding day.

Enjoy, friends.

PORTRAITS // CASEY

Sessions with Casey are always a breeze. It couldn't be easier to capture her bold brown eyes, ivory skin, and amazing mane of hair. To top it off--she has a great sense of fashion and always brings some killer outfits to the table.

For photogs: this session took place at high noon with little slivers of 2 ft. deep shaded areas. Did we get pictures in a wheat field? Nope. But I couldn't be happier with these shots and conquering that scary time of day! Don't ever be afraid to try. Follow the rules you know about light, and force yourself to get creative! These photos were edited with VSCO Film Presets in LR4 and shot with a 50mm 1.2 on a 5D Mark II body.

//

Casey,
You're one of my dearest friends and always will be! Time with you is spent talking fashion, music, theatre, and Jesus and I just can't tell you how refreshed I feel walking away from any of our hang-out dates! In case you didn't know it yet--you are stunning. I count it a privilege to get to work with you on our photo excursions and pray it's something we do as life continues to grow! Love you!

Enjoy, friends.

EQUESTRIAN WEDDING SHOOT // PLANTATION FARMS

All I can say is when you dream--dream big. Stay connected with other dreamers. Give your creativity no limit. Be inspired: whether by movies, books, other artists, [pinterest], or the world around you.

When Ms. Cindy (owner of Plantation Farms) and I started dreaming up this session... the sky was the limit. We got some fabulous vendors involved (see list below post), a sweet (beautiful) couple to model for us, and we really couldn't have been more pleased with the results.

Get ready to swoon over this Southern equestrian-styled wedding session--from the accents of lucky horseshoes, to the magic of hand-calligraphic invitations--you're sure to love every last photo. (And don't forget you can pin them directly from the site now too! ;)

May you feel inspired, in love, and all the more day-dream susceptible today.

//

To all the vendors who contributed to this session,
Oh, I really can't say "thank you" enough. I am floored to this day that small inspirations turned into such a fabulous experience of creativity and love. Thank you for contributing to an idea you may or may not have been able to picture on your own--trusting that it would all come together into something magical. Many of you spent late nights or long days prepping for the session--thank you.

This session has been featured on Grey Likes Weddings today (what an honor!). Stop by this fabulous wedding blog and steal away some moments of wedding inspiration.
