JADE

There are really few words that could describe this session better than the images themselves would.

Jade was pure delight in front of the camera. Despite a raging thunderstorm, she exuded an incredible ease frame-after-frame.

For photographers: I absolutely loved the opportunity to embrace a difficult light situation. All of these pictures were shot on high ISO, with careful attention to interesting light. Edited, as always, with my beloved VSCO film presets.

Jade,
Girl. I can't emphasize enough what an incredible road you have before you. You're so far beyond talented... continue to reach for the stars with all you've got--you'll blow them all away. In the case that it's not ridiculously obvious, I believe in you 100%. Keep it up.

Enjoy, friends.

A JAMES DEAN & LANA DEL REY INSPIRED SESSION // SAVANNAH, GA

When cool people get in front of my camera (which, lets be honest, happens quite often), I can't help myself. I just cant help myself. Restless with excitement, bursting with inspiration, this short little session just melts my artist's heart. It's a bit off the beaten path for me, but photographically... I'm so proud of happy about these images.

Think James Dean and Lana Del Rey.

Then, enjoy.

PORTRAITS // CASEY

Sessions with Casey are always a breeze. It couldn't be easier to capture her bold brown eyes, ivory skin, and amazing mane of hair. To top it off--she has a great sense of fashion and always brings some killer outfits to the table.

For photogs: this session took place at high noon with little slivers of 2 ft. deep shaded areas. Did we get pictures in a wheat field? Nope. But I couldn't be happier with these shots and conquering that scary time of day! Don't ever be afraid to try. Follow the rules you know about light, and force yourself to get creative! These photos were edited with VSCO Film Presets in LR4 and shot with a 50mm 1.2 on a 5D Mark II body.

Casey,
You're one of my dearest friends and always will be! Time with you is spent talking fashion, music, theatre, and Jesus and I just can't tell you how refreshed I feel walking away from any of our hang-out dates! In case you didn't know it yet--you are stunning. I count it a privilege to get to work with you on our photo excursions and pray it's something we do as life continues to grow! Love you!

Enjoy, friends.
