A NEWLY-WED CHRISTMAS // KAYLEE & BOBBY

When Kaylee contacted me about doing Christmas Cards for her and Bobby, I was absolutely thrilled.

Kaylee and I probably had the most correspondence up to this point via Pinterest--that of which I am officially addicted to. Kaylee pinned the most adorable ideas for her session, and even included a DIY Framed Chalkboard project (as well as bringing DIY Snow = Instant Potato Flakes). Since I posted their Sneak Peak photos (which--just so you know--stopped my heart, too!), they too have blown up on Pinterest! (Click here to see!)

Kaylee and Bobby were SUCH a fun couple to photograph. Their laughter is contagious, and they consistently kiss "like-you-mean-it". There's just something about your first Christmas as a newly-wed. Fresh excitement for decorating your own place together, baking experiments, and sending out your first cards. This session truly captured the joy that exists in the first holiday season experienced together.

Kaylee and Bobby, I can't thank you enough for allowing me to capture such an awesomely planned session. I was thrilled from start to finish--outfits, props, ideas... you guys are quite the creative duo! Your love for each other is SO very evident--I'm certain you are an inspiration to those around you. I couldn't love the frames from this session any more... and so much of that is due to you! I wish you the absolute best as you experience your first Christmas together. God absolutely has His Hand on your marriage--I cannot imagine the journey He's placed before you.

ALMOST CHRISTMAS

I am one of those.

I'm ready to pull out my flannel pajamas, sip on some hot chocolate, and hang colorful lights all over the place.

The other day my mom and I had some Starbucks together and I squealed when the barista handed me the cup, exclaiming "Christmas cups!!!" My mom chuckled, and the barista probably thought I was weird, but since I can remember, I've loved walking into a decked-out starbucks--whatever the decor may look like for that specific year.

This is also the first Christmas the hubby and I are in a house instead of a little (little) apartment. We've done the Charlie Brown Christmas Tree thing for the past two years, so I CAN'T WAIT to decorate a full-out Christmas tree! I have colors picked out already.

Calming down now...

I just couldn't wait to give you all a little Sneak Peek from my latest portrait session. Kaylee and Bobby quite possibly earn the Cutest Married Couple Ever award. I have never seen such adorable interaction between two people in love. As for the pictures... well, you'll see...

HAPPILY MARRIED // RACHEL & WALTER

Rachel and Walter's wedding was one of the very first I ever captured. Fresh into the world of photography and I myself married one month earlier, I swooned over their fresh love. I remember walking into the room where the girls were getting ready like it was yesterday. I was nervous as all get-out, and somehow fit in so easily.

The day was a dream.

Immediately after their honeymoon, Rachel and Walter moved to California. If I'm completely honest, I was a bit heartbroken to let my new friend go. So, as you can imagine, when Rachel e-mailed me months ago asking about scheduling a session when her and Walter visited Georgia again, I was determined to do whatever it took to make it happen!

Again, the day was perfect for the photo session. Like their wedding day, the sun smiled down on us accompanied by a light breeze. It was the welcome to Fall, and I was ecstatic to be able to capture Rachel and Walter two years from their Big Day under such beautiful conditions!

We started off the session patriotically, with Walter in his uniform and Rachel in a flowy red dress. By the end of the session, we soaked up the sunlit sky in more of a country attire. Adorable from start to finish.

Rachel and Walter, I cannot thank you enough for allowing me the opportunity again of capturing the two of you. It seems as though the first two years of marriage have treated you well--it was wonderful to experience how very much in love you still are with each other. I hope these images will serve as a milestone one day as you look back to the first seasons of life together--a landmark of all you've learned up to this point. I wish you the very best and looking forward to capturing you again in years to come!

Enjoy, friends.

SNEAK PEEK // SO THIS IS LOVE / LAURA & NICK

Love is real. Love is so very real.

Laura and Nick are proof to this. Their love is so genuine. So radiant. You can hear it in their laughter, see it on their faces. Capturing the bond between them was a breeze--and a true delight.

I love my job.

Here are my favorites from their Bride+Groom portraits. Be on the lookout for their full wedding post!

Happy Fourth, y'all. ♥

This picture makes me tear up every time.

Artistic Couple Session | JC & Taylor

So, let me just say that my siblings are the coolest ever. My little sister is AWESOME (she's been featured in earlier posts, and will certainly be featured again in the future). My little brother, featured in this post, is super COOL. {Let's just say I'm at a loss for flowery adjectives today, leaving me privy to words like "awesome" and "super cool".}

Anyway, when my brother fell in love, he FELL IN LOVE. Our family likes to give him quite a hard time about it, but in all reality it's quite sweet. I couldn't ask for a better lady for my brother--and I never thought I would be so approving. You have also seen his girlfriend (& my friend), Taylor, featured in several older posts. ♥

Together, they make the neatest hipster-indie duo around, and we couldn't have asked for better lighting or photo ops for this session. It's certainly in my top favorites of all time.

Also, for my birthday, I was OVERWHELMED (to say the least) by the showers of blessings from my friends and family, and (in addition to a shopping spree at Anthropologie) was able to purchase some FABULOUS Lightroom Presets (photo editing stuff) from Totally Rad. This is the first session utilizing them. Yay!

Thanks so much, JC and Taylor, for being so wonderful and at ease with the camera! Love you guys!

Enjoy, friends. {♥}
