Mini Session | Vaughn Family

I met Ms. Vaughn at an outdoor craft show of sorts. Her adorable son was playing in the ball pin and I took a few pictures of him--utterly photogenic, needless to say.

I was ecstatic when she contacted me to do a mini session for their family pictures! The little guy was running around everywhere, but I was able to capture a good amount of priceless shots! (I mean, children are best remembered in action, anyways!)

Here are some of my favorites from the session!

Enjoy.

Creative Session | Stephanie Miller

I must say, I have always been a secret admirer of Stephanie's fashion savvy-ness. Super sophisticated, colorful, crisp. Needless to say, I was jaw-dropped as I watched her rummage through her closet picking out her choices for the shoot. JCrew & Anthropology--yes, please.

Stephanie is stunning, as well. Both adventurous and laid-back.

Absolutely love these pictures.

Enjoy.

{The COLORS! Ah!}

Family Session | Sanders Girls

I cannot tell you how many wives have booked photo shoots of them and the kids to surprise dad. It melts my heart to see family emphasized in so many hearts. I love the smile of a proud father, the glow of an excited child and wife.

Stephanie Sanders came to me with this idea, and, as always, I was completely [stoked] about it. She explained that her girls were polar opposites--tomboy and girly-girl. They both played softball, and had a few other athletic hobbies. Now, as girly-girl as I am, and as much as I love a good stylized session, I feel that the best capture would be remembering your kids for who they are--not who they have to be for a posed picture. I loved that the girls were just themselves, that Stephanie and her husband will be able to look back on these pictures and remember their quirky little personalities. Genuine memories. That is what counts.

Can't wait for dad to see them. Enjoy, my friends.

{It was the day before halloween, so we decided to utilize the costumes! Too cute!}

Family Session | Phillips Family

Stephanie Phillips showed up to this photo shoot with so much enthusiasm and creativity--I could not ask for a better start! It's not often that families with older children choose to get pictures together, but they will be such INCREDIBLE memories!

It was a beautiful day--light breeze, sunny skies. :)

Here are a few of my favorites from the session.

Enjoy.

Children Session | Lowery Sisters

Pure bliss. I absolutely, hands-down, must say that these pictures are some of my favorite pictures that I have EVER taken.

Perhaps it is that what was captured on camera was pure, unfiltered, simple childhood moments. Hardly any posing, and lots of giggles and smiles. This session just warms my heart--over and over again. Not going to lie, I can' t stop looking at these pictures. They remind me of the little girl inside of me. Of dress up and dancing and "tada!"s. Treasures.

Thank you SO much to my new friends, Kaylie and Madisyn, for the tutus and hair bows! Definitely check their facebook pages out to accessories your sweet one--for everyday life or photo sessions!

{No additional editing done to her eyes. Seriously. Amazing.}

SaraBeth wasn't too ecstatic about the pictures, so I was on guard for any smiles or laughs I could get! I just LOVE the picture on the right. A bubble just popped on her nose. ;)

{We were doing the wiggle dance.}

LOVE this picture. Big time.

{EmmaGrace had so much fun! And don't you just love their names?!}

{I just love how nostalgic this picture feels.}

{Lipgloss is yummy.}

SaraBeth ended up loosening up, and had the greatest time dropping and picking up the pumpkin. Needless to say, I was going at it with the camera!

A wonderful big hug to end the night!
